For Sister Maria Estella Anudon, gambling became a habit that distanced her from her daughter and was often the reason that she and her husband fought.

They tried joining another religion, hoping for her to change for the better, but her vices remained. When her husband started working overseas and sent money for his family, she still spent much of it on gambling.

Everything shifted when she returned to her family’s province. There, she had relatives who introduced her to the show Ang Dating Daan and invited her to attend the Mass Indoctrination of the Members Church of God International (MCGI).
