Repentance | Sister Rosemarie Ducusin | Story of My Faith | MCGI

Sister Rosemarie Ducusin, the eldest among her siblings, grew up in a devout Muslim family. From a young age, she faithfully observed and practiced the tenets of her upbringing.

Her life took an unexpected turn when her sister returned home from working in Saudi Arabia. The sisters loved spending their evenings together watching action movies on Channel 13. One night, however, their movie was suddenly cut short by the broadcasting of Ang Dating Daan program.

Initially, confused and frustrated by the sudden program change, they nevertheless decided to leave the channel on and give it a chance.

That single decision sparked a powerful curiosity. In the days that followed, Sister Rosemarie and her sister found themselves tuning in every single evening, captivated by the biblical preachings of Brother Eli Soriano. Even after her sister moved to Tawi-Tawi, Sister Rosemarie continued to watch the program, now joined by her husband.

When the dates and venues for the Mass Indoctrination were announced, they immediately decided to attend. They were moved by Brother Eli’s frequent reminder:

“Kapag nakasumpong kayo ng mabuti, gawin ninyo agad. Huwag na kayo magpatumpik-tumpik pa (When you find what is good, do it immediately. Do not hesitate.).”

They attended the indoctrination sessions with open hearts and, in time, both were baptized.

Embracing her new faith came at a heavy personal cost. Coming from a Muslim background, Sister Rosemarie faced immediate rejection. Some of her siblings began to treat her differently after she joined the Members Church of God International (MCGI).
