The three-day celebration of the Special Thanksgiving of God’s People (translated as Special Pasalamat ng Buong Bayan in the vernacular) reached its inspiring conclusion in Tokyo, Japan. On this final day, the MCGI congregation—composed of Japanese brethren, Filipinos, and various nationalities who gathered from across the globe—offered a unified sacrifice of praise that filled the venue.
Through the biblical wisdom shared by the Overall Servant, Kuya Daniel Razon, the brethren reflected on the essence of true humility and submission before God Almighty. The discussion highlighted that even when we believe we have the right, the reason, or the power to act, we must prioritize the will of God above all else. True humility involves setting aside our personal authority or rights if they hinder the fulfillment of His purpose. Instead, the power granted to us by God should be used to perform His will—never withholding good when it is within our power to do it.
This commitment to following God’s will was manifested through various charitable services offered to all people in attendance. These initiatives included free medical and dental consultations and the distribution of medicines, which were open to everyone, as well as free haircuts specifically provided for men. Each service reflected the brotherhood’s commitment to caring for all people, regardless of background.
The hall was filled with a vibrant spirit as the MCGI Chorale and Teatro Kristiyano and the entire assembly joined in songs and dances of praise to God. A moving moment occurred when the lights were dimmed, and the venue was illuminated by thousands of phone flashes as the congregation sang “We Are MCGI.” This display symbolized a people dedicated to letting their light shine through works of faith, hope, and love. As one nation united in serving the Almighty, the brethren reaffirmed their dedication to proclaiming His name and giving all glory to the Father in Heaven.
