Newly Baptized Testimonials: July 10, 2015
Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on July 10, 2015 at the ADD Convention Center.

On Joining the Church of God
At first I didn’t make anything of it. I was invited by my wife; she was the first to be baptized.
It was about six years ago. We attended a Church service. Then, she went abroad and that discontinued.
Perhaps, I can consider this time a calling also. I was formerly a Baptist, and the teachings here are really different from theirs.
At first, it was like my former beliefs were still putting up a fight [in my mind]. Of course, it’s like that, like you’re going to have confusion. But as the days passed by, I would attend Church services without anyone inviting me. I went on my own.
On Being Baptized
It’s really a different feeling. I have experienced being baptized in my previous religion. But even just during indoctrination, I could already see the difference. It was light. I felt light inside.

Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, keep it up. The teachings are good because they are based in the Bible. Thanks be to God.

On Joining the Church of God
This is where the right teaching from the Bible is.
It was my papa who became a member here in the Church first. Then, papa told me to join as well. Every week my papa would bring me to [thanksgivings].

I hope they will be able to preach the true teachings from the Bible to much more many people.

On Joining the Church of God
Now, I feel that my mind has been opened to the truth. My in-law and my nephew in Taguig [introduced this to me]. Whenever I would go to their place, they would share the teachings to me.
I would just listen at home while watching television. I started just this year. One time, when I wasn’t able to attend, they went to my home and I got indoctrinated that time there.
On Being Baptized
I’m happy. I feel happy and teary-eyed. Of course, it’s only now that I have experienced such an acceptance of God.

Bro. Eli is a good preacher. With Bro. Daniel, I have long watched him on TV. He hosted Unang Hirit. Actually, I was shocked when he wasn’t there anymore.
I’m happy that they are able to preach messages and teachings [from God].
