Newly Baptized Testimonials: December 27, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on December 27, 2013 at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Sis. Nieves Valdez, 27, Former Catholic, Bulacan Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy, like I’m floating in air.

My husband is already a member, for three years now. However, his siblings have long been members.

A blessing has been given to us. I’m now pregnant. It’s our second child.

It’s actually my second time to be indoctrinated, but now I decided to be baptized.

On MCGI Leaders
Many thanks for the teachings they taught us. We have known the true God.

Bro. Carlos Rabanera, 31, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy because the sins I committed when I did not know God yet are now gone. My wife and I are happy that we are now with the brethren.

I got to listen to [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on radio as I was driving until I watched him on television as well. Things took off from there and last month, we decided to go to the locale to attend the indoctrination sessions.

It was about six years ago; it’s been a long time already. I didn’t mean to [find] that station. As I was driving, I heard it by switching radio stations. Then I always came back to that station. Whenever I have long trips, I start listening to it.

I ran into an accident sometime in the past, as I got sleepy while on a trip. It was June 20. But with God’s mercy, I’m healing now [and] I got through it.

I was driving when I got sleepy. I [woke up] when I was about to hit it [a road post] already. I saw it coming, and I saw how I hit it.

When I hit it, my vehicle got displaced to the middle [of the road], and there were many vehicles coming. I just closed my eyes and said, “God, you’re in charge. My children are still small.”

When I opened my eyes, we were there in the middle, and the truck that was coming didn’t even hit us. The many approaching vehicles were able to swerve. I then said, “There really is God.” Then, I asked for His help, and He did.

The road post was the one that says “100 KPH” in the expressway.

May we all return to the Lord, as He will always help us everytime.

On MCGI Leaders
Many thanks to Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel for the things I learned from them. They became instruments for me to be saved from disaster, that would’ve lead to death.*

I am very thankful that I became a member here, because when I was saved [from the accident], that’s what I thought of, that perhaps God has a reason why He still gave me life. It was a blessing to me.

*When asked in the interview if the interviewee has heard from MCGI Leaders to call on the name of the Lord during trouble, he replied “Yes.”

Sis. Patria Noronio, 15, Former KNC, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
It feels light inside. And I feel as if I have just been born again. Oh! I can’t explain it. All I know is that I’m happy.

I hope that my parents will not tire in supporting me in Church works and may they not tire in always taking care of me.

On MCGI Leaders
May God keep them and may they be able to spread the teachings of God more.

Bro. Dennis Macandog, 36, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy, and I can’t explain what I feel in being a member of the Church of God. I have not felt this in others.

It’s here that I found the true teachings of this true religion that will lead me to salvation. It’s here that my heart melted, [a feeling] that I have not experienced in other religions.

On MCGI Leaders
I also thank Bro. Eli for his broadcast on television. I observed in myself that I gradually became fond of watching [The Old Path] on TV, and I learned with my whole heart how pleasant his teachings are through television and such that we have watched.

Like me, who was a Catholic, I have never experienced [such] from attending masses, from priests. This is where I learned the prohibitions, because priests really don’t teach those. By watching [Bro. Eliseo Soriano], I knew the truth.

I asked myself, “Why doesn’t our priest teach us these things?”

So that’s all I can say in becoming a member of the Church of God. I never experienced this in other religions.
