Newly Baptized Testimonials: December 20, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from newly baptized brethren on December 20, 2013 at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Bro. Bryan Quijano, 19, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy and it’s fulfilling because I’ve long been wanting to [be baptized], but there had been too many hindrances.

I was a freshman in high school that time [when I got to listen to Bro. Eliseo Soriano]. At first, my parents didn’t like it. Then, things happened and I got to go to other religions. But my calling is really here.

I was bored in high school. I got to listen first to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), but they were like always emphasizing lagak (deposit), things like that. Then I just happened to switch [the television channel] to [Bro. Eli] until watching Itanong Mo Kay Soriano (Ask Soriano) became a habit, and things took off from there.

On MCGI Leaders
For Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, I hope they will continue and may they be given longer lives and healthy bodies that they can save many more people from wrong religions.

Bro. Marlon Melo, 35, Former Catholic, Rizal

On Being Baptized
It feels good inside, as if all the [burdens] I had are now gone. Yes, problems are still there but at least I feel relieved now, like I can face them. And it’s because we have known God.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Daniel, to Bro. Eli, I’m thankful that I met them. They are [instruments] of the Lord for me to turn back to Him. Because for people like us who were once lost, at least we now have time and opportunity to know the wrong things we did before.

Bro. Jonathan Dacasin, 34, Former Catholic, Manila

On Being Baptized
I’m happy of course. I got to listen to [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on television, then afterwards in the indoctrination sessions in the locale.

On MCGI Leaders
Of course, good health, and may they continue with their works. I hope we’ll get to encourage many more to join the Church as well.

Bro. Freddie Rodriguez, 35, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy, and I hope that I’ll be able to fulfill my obligations with God’s mercy.

I’ve been watching [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on television for about six or seven months now. I got enlightened because in Catholicism, I didn’t hear such [doctrines].

My grandfather was a priest, but he never told me about such things until he died. When I heard Bro. Eli, I felt that what he says is true, that’s why I joined.

On MCGI Leaders
I’m thankful because perhaps if it [weren’t] for him, I would [not] have found the true religion.

Bro. Richard Ang, 27, Former Catholic, NCR

On Being Baptized
I’m happy. I can say that what I feel now, I never felt in my former [religion] being a Catholic. It was the religion I grew up with in my family’s place in Cotabato.

I never saw any doctrine like this, which is based in the Bible, wherein what is written will be read to you – nothing added, nothing lacking. I said once, “It’s hard,” but that is what’s really right; that’s what you must do.

I was so amazed with Bro. Eli. It has been about six or eight years that I have been [in the National Capital Region], and I’ve been listening [to him] for almost seven years on television.

I’m just sorry that I didn’t attend early on, when I was in San Mateo, Rizal in the [locale of] Ampid. In a street there was a sign that said “Ang Dating Daan” (“The Old Path”) near my uncle’s house.

In 2007, I had an interest in listening. I said, “This preacher is something else.” It’s like he can answer all of your questions, if you have any confusion over a verse or you really don’t understand it, that your previous religion can’t explain to you.

They really can’t give you a good explanation. But with him, it’s right on the dot. It’s really good; you’ll understand it well.

On MCGI Leaders
For Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, may they be given longer lives on earth as they are able to help many people like me who [now know] that it’s your faith that you can rely on.

I hope that we won’t be the only ones whom they will lead, but that all will be [converted] to this religion so life will be happy.

Bro. Birthooven Digno Jr., 35, Former Catholic, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
I feel light inside, happy, as if I’ve forgotten the past, [been given] a new life.

It was my uncle who took me to the locale, and my wife as well. She was baptized about two months ago. She knows that I’ve been baptized. I’m sure she’s very happy today.

On MCGI Leaders
Many, many thanks for preaching faithfully.

Bro. Emmanuel Cueto, 25, Former Born Again, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy and it feels light inside. I feel as though I won’t sin easily. I always watched [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on television, since about one year ago.

On MCGI Leaders
For Bro. Eli, I hope that he’ll have a longer life that many more will be enlightened and be taught [of God’s words].
