
On December 5, 2024, the Members Church of God International (MCGI), UNTV News and Rescue, and the Western Command Armed Forces of the Philippines signed a formal partnership at WESCOM Headquarters in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. This collaboration underscores their commitment to public service.
Led by MCGI Overall Servant Brother Daniel Razon and WESCOM Commander VADM Alfonso F. Torres Jr. PN, the partnership aims to provide healthcare services benefiting 1,500 military personnel, reservists, their dependents, and local community members. MCGI Cares services offered include medical and dental care, optical check-ups with free reading glasses, legal consultations, and essential medicines.
The immediate impact of this partnership includes:
Donation of mobility aids: 10 wheelchairs, 10 nebulizers, and 10 canes
Support for hospital equipment: 15 mattresses, 15 bedsheets, and 2 air conditioning units for Camp Gen Artemio Ricarte Station Hospital
Additional community services: feeding programs, acupuncture, massages, and haircuts
Installation of 70 solar street lamps at WESCOM Headquarters
