KNC Show bested GMA-7’s Tropang Pochi and Net-25’s Homework.

Kawan ng Cordero, which is “KNC” when abbreviated, translates into “Flock of the Lamb” in English. KNC Show teaches children of different ages about art, nature, science and health while highlighting biblical stories and passages.

Dubbed as the “Bible School On Air”, the show celebrated its 10th year on television via UNTV Life this year.
The show is aimed at promoting good values derived straight from the Bible, which is one of the advocacies launched by Bro. Eli Soriano and Kuya Daniel Razon, MCGI Overall Servants.

This is not the first time that KNC Show received an award from a local television award-giving group. Last year, the children program was selected by the 22nd Golden Dove Awards to win the “Best TV Children Program.”

The Golden Dove Awards is a prestigious awards night organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).

PMPC Star Awards’ Best Talent Search Program for ASOP TV

Meanwhile, A Song of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival was awarded the “Best Talent Search Program of the Year,” reflecting a shift in the taste of the award-giving organizers this year.

ASOP TV, a praise songwriting talent program that airs in UNTV Life, is now on its fifth year edition and continues to showcase the diverse talents and musical artistry of Filipinos.

Richard Reynoso, ASOP TV host, expressed surprise in receiving the PMPC award. “In behalf of Kuya Daniel Razon, to our spiritual adviser, Bro. Eli Soriano, we are not expecting this recognition coming from an award giving body.”

“What we want is for the Filipinos to showcase their talents in writing and composing an all original songs of praise,” said Reynoso.who co-host the show with Tony Rose Gayda.

In its category, ASOP Music Festival bested GMA-7’s Bet ng Bayan, TV-5’s Move It: Clash of the Street Dancers and Talentadong Pinoy 2014.

ASOP Music Festival is the only songs of praise songwriting tilt locally. Physician and composer Mon del Rosario Jr. is the show’s in-house judge.

Prior to its foray in mainstream television, ASOP Music Festival traces its origin in the MCGI’s A Song of Praise Music Festival, an exclusive songwriting tilt in the congregation that has started since 2004.

ASOP TV is open to all amateur and professional composers and opens wide the opportunity for these artists to be recognized in the field of music.
