The joyful spirit of gratefulness intensified as the second day of the Special Thanksgiving of God’s People continued on June 27. With the main broadcast still emanating from the MCGI Chapel in Apalit, Pampanga, brethren from around the world gathered in locales, coordinating centers, and large venues to experience the warmth and excitement of MCGI’s biggest quarterly event.
The offering of songs featured select song presentations from brethren in Region 5 (Albay, Camarines Norte/Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Masbate); Region 6 (Aklan, Antique, Negros Occidental, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo); Region 7 (Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Siquijor);
Region 8 (Biliran, Samar, Eastern and Northern Samar, Leyte and Southern Leyte); Region 9 (Zamboanga Del Sur/Del Norte/Sibugay, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi); Region 10 (Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental/Oriental, Lanao Del Norte);
Region 11 (Davao Del Sur/Del Norte/Oriental/Occidental/De Oro [Compostela Valley], Agusan Del Norte/Del Sur, Dinagat Island, Surigao Del Norte/Del Sur); and Region 12 (North/South Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, General Santos & Cotabato City, Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao).
From the National Capital Region, brethren from District 1 (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela), District 3 (Makati, Pasay), District 4 (Manila, San Juan), and District 5 (Marikina and Pasig) also had their turn to sing their prepared song offerings before the brotherhood.
During the break, Brother Aaron, Brother Joshua, and Sister Eunice Razon rendered youthful, new arrangements of familiar and well-loved Church songs onstage, to the delight of the brethren. Through the musical skills they have acquired and are continuously honing, the siblings continue to play songs that are reminiscent of God’s mercy and blessings, playing their favorite instrument while serving the congregation through music.
Later in the evening, MCGI Overall Servant Brother Daniel Razon shared the difference between admonishment and a test from God. The second-day topic centered on how Christians should treat God’s counsel in correcting His people. Kuya Daniel stressed that mistakes should bring us to learn, and whether a Christian is experiencing trials or God’s admonishment, both should result in patience for a faithful servant.
With the closing of the second day, the congregation once again brought home a fresh take on what it means to truly observe and live the life of a servant of God who is willing and patient to learn despite the trials of life.
To God be the glory!
