Brother Daniel Gifts 300 Small-Scale Livelihood Grants on His 40th Sabbath Anniversary

Brother Daniel Razon, the Overall Servant of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), celebrated his 40th Sabbath anniversary on November 28, 2023 by providing small-scale livelihood capital to 300 beneficiaries. In MCGI, a Sabbath anniversary commemorates the yearly remembrance of one’s baptism in the Church.

The beneficiaries were MCGI brethren encountering financial difficulties due to calamities and other life challenges. They received cash assistance and goods to establish or sustain their micro-businesses, such as food carts, sari-sari stores, and online selling ventures.

A Divine Obligation to Serve

In an interview regarding his 40th year of service, Brother Daniel, also known as Kuya Daniel, expressed his gratitude to God for calling him into the Church and granting him the opportunity to serve and care for his fellowmen.

“I always want to remind our brothers and sisters to trust in God’s goodness. Whenever we face problems or difficulties, we should pray and ask for God’s mercy and help. We also have a brotherhood that God has given us, and with His help and mercy, we should do our best to serve our brothers and sisters who are in need,” he said.

He also emphasized the essence of true religion, which is to help the oppressed, the orphans, the widows, and those in need, and to show them God’s love.

“Through the Church, we can reveal God’s love and care, especially to our brothers and sisters who will never be forsaken by the Lord. We are valuable to God, even though most of us are poor and uneducated, but God has shown His appreciation to us by calling us into the Church. This is a sign of God’s love for us,” he added.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

James 1:27, King James Version

Grateful Recipients

During the granting event held at the MCGI Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga, some of the recipients couldn’t hide their happiness upon meeting Brother Daniel in person.

Sister Minerva Caiyas was elated when she conversed with Kuya Daniel during the event, stating, “I am extremely joyful because I had the opportunity of meeting Brother Daniel personally on his Sabbath anniversary.” She conveyed her gratitude to God for receiving Kuya Daniel’s grant, enabling her to relaunch her business. “I’m also thankful to God that even though my business folded because of the recent calamity, I am a recipient of Brother Daniel’s grant.”

Another beneficiary, Sister Ramona Cardava, expressed her gratitude to God for Brother Daniel’s generous heart towards his brothers and sisters in faith.

“I thank God for the financial aid and Brother Daniel’s big heart towards the brotherhood. I cannot repay his kindness; all I can do is trust God to reward Kuya Daniel for his love for us.”

The Caralipio couple commended Brother Daniel for consistently reminding the MCGI brethren to support and love each other, much like the late Brother Eli Soriano always did.

“We often hear Brother Daniel say that there are no difficulties within the brotherhood as long as we help one another, just as we always heard from Brother Eli,” the couple said.

God’s Help is Paramount

Brother Daniel acknowledged that his gifts to the brotherhood and his charitable endeavors are limited compared to what God can do. He then encouraged the members of the Church to persist in serving and placing trust in God’s goodness with zeal and unity so that whenever they seek God’s help, He will always do it in the best interest of His servants.

“God is good, and His kindness endures forever. We cannot limit what He can do for us. Therefore, in any situation, we must always seek His help first,” he emphasized.

The livelihood assistance program is among the various charitable initiatives of MCGI led by Brother Daniel, who is also a renowned media personality, singer, songwriter, and public servant. Additionally, he serves as the President and CEO of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International or BMPI, which operates UNTV News and Rescue, a television network dedicated to public service. UNTV airs the religious programs of MCGI, such as Ang Dating Daan and The Old Path, both hosted by Brother Eli Soriano and Brother Daniel.

Brother Daniel Razon’s 40th Sabbath Anniversary: 20 Tricycles Granted to Beneficiaries

True to his commitment to his humble service to God and humanity,  the Members Church of God International (MCGI) Overall Servant Brother Daniel Razon has granted a total of 20 motorized tricycles to various beneficiaries across different parts of the country.

Tricycle is a popular type of public utility vehicle in the Philippines, comprising a motorcycle with an attached passenger cab. These vehicles operate on designated routes or are available for hire, similar to taxicabs.

For many low-income Filipinos, owning a tricycle enables them to take home all their earnings for the day. Typically, drivers are hired by tricycle owners who are also known as operators. At the end of each day, the drivers pay the operator a fixed amount called the ‘boundary,’ which serves as the rent for using the vehicle.

Frequently, if they do not pay for the boundary, drivers take home only a small fraction of their potential earnings. During calamities or holidays, when there are fewer passengers, some drivers struggle to provide their families with decent meals for several days.

Answered Prayers

Owning a tricycle doesn’t guarantee substantial earnings, but it’s advantageous as drivers won’t need to rent. This led Brother Daniel to grant these vehicles to driver brethren.

For the beneficiaries, these gifts are God’s response to their dreams of securing a steady source of income amid financial challenges.

“I am overjoyed because God has answered my prayer. I thank God for Kuya Daniel and all my brothers and sisters. Many thanks to God,” expressed Brother Marlo Alfuente during the Gift-Giving ceremonies at MCGI Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Sister Lorena Donato was surprised to be chosen as one of the recipients of the motorcycle-powered mini-taxi.

“I am delighted because I didn’t expect to be selected as a recipient of a tricycle. For this, I immensely thank God and Kuya Daniel,” she enthusiastically expressed.

Heart of Service and Charity

November 28, 2023, marks Brother Daniel’s 40th year of baptism acceptance in MCGI. It also serves as the beginning of his tireless dedication and contributions to the Church in propagating God’s word to humanity through evangelization and charitable acts.

Brother Daniel has made a practice of giving special gifts to his fellow brethren in MCGI each year during his Sabbath anniversary. As he commemorates another year of service, he endeavors to assist financially challenged MCGI members.

During an interview, Brother Daniel expressed his heartfelt desire to support financially disadvantaged members within MCGI: “In my humble capacity, I strive to reach out to brothers and sisters in need as I celebrate the 40th year of my acceptance of baptism.”

Brother Daniel’s wish-granting endeavors aren’t restricted to special events like his Sabbath Anniversary. MCGI Cares, the Church’s charitable arm, regularly conducts acts of kindness and generosity towards all individuals, irrespective of their religious or socio-political affiliation.

He often emphasizes that serving others is a fundamental obligation of the Church established by our Lord Jesus Christ. “These initiatives are regularly done by brothers and sisters in various ways so that we will reflect the essence of true religion stated in the Bible. The spirit of true religion is to help the afflicted, the orphans, widows, the poor, and those in need,” stated Brother Daniel.

He also highlighted that through charitable acts, the Church fulfills its role as a beacon of God’s love and grace to humanity, especially in today’s world where many struggle with hope and trust in God.

“Through the Church, we can introduce the love of God and His grace, especially to our brothers and sisters; that the Lord will not abandon us and that we have value in God’s eyes,” he added.

In Celebration of Brother Daniel Razon’s 40 Years of Service to God: MCGI Opens a Free Healthcare Facility

Marking Brother Daniel Razon’s 40 years of service to God and humanity, the Members Church of God International (MCGI) launched its latest charitable endeavor — the MCGI Clinic. This healthcare facility offers a range of free medical, dental, and optical services to the public.

The establishment of this medical facility is aligned with MCGI’s advocacy to offer assistance to those in need, those who are facing financial constraints which hinder them from availing medical consultations and essential medications.

Following its unveiling, Brother Daniel led a tour inside the two-floor facility which has centralized air conditioned specialty rooms, a pharmacy, an area for regular blood donations, a space for government agencies, and three transient rooms. The clinic can serve 500 to 800 patients during its operating hours.

The services it offers include General Adult Consultation, Pediatrics, Optical services with complimentary reading glasses, Ophthalmology, Dental Extraction, OB-Gyne Consultation, and ENT services. In addition, the clinic will also provide patients with free medicines, meals from the MCGI Feeding Program and essential items from the MCGI Free Store.

Clinic ni Kuya in 2007

The MCGI Clinic, which opened its doors once again in Marikina City on November 22, 2023, signifies the expansion and enhancement of a charitable initiative Brother Daniel started back in 2007.

During the reopening, he recollected the project’s initial launch, “2007 ‘nong nag-start tayo nong segment na ‘yon (Clinic Ni Kuya). Pero ito po ay tuloy-tuloy na pakikipagtulungan kasama po ang ating mga kapatid sa MCGI o  Members Church of God International noong ito’y ating pinasimulaan noon pa man. At ito ay sa iba’t ibang panig ng PIlipinas at sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo…

(“It was in 2007 when we started this segment (Clinic Ni Kuya). Since its inception, it has always been the concerted and continuous efforts of our brethren in MCGI or Members Church of God International – here in the Philippines and in some other parts of the world – that made it possible.”)

The clinic was initially located at the UNTV building for over a decade.  Eventually, it was brought closer to people in various areas through the frequent medical missions conducted even in remote places of the country and even abroad.

At dito po sa ating GMK o yaong ating Good Morning Kuya program dito po sa UNTV ito po ay naging bahagi na segment natin noon pa man nagpasimula tayo ng ating Good Morning Kuya. At ito sa program natin all throughout the day ito po ay ating ginagawa nandyan ang ating mga medical team para po makapag assist sa ating mga kababayan,” Brother Daniel shared.

(“It used to be one of the segments of our program in UNTV – Good Morning Kuya (GMK); it was where it started.  The services that Clinic ni Kuya rendered went beyond the airtime of our program.  And all throughout the day, our medical team was there to be of help to our fellowmen who were seeking medical attention.)

MCGI Cares: Love In Action

The Clinic Ni Kuya receives vital support from the Members Church of God International. Overseeing and sponsoring the health facility, including the doctors, staff, and volunteers. MCGI also covers all operational costs and supplies, and all medical needs of the beneficiaries.

The commitment of MCGI to public service is driven by wholeheartedly adhering to Christ’s doctrine of spreading love and doing good deeds to all men.

“As we have, therefore, opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

Galatians 6:10, King James Version

That is why Brother Daniel emphasized that all the services provided by MCGI and UNTV are offered for free and with no discrimination.

(“This is open to everyone. We do not discriminate people, we treat people equally irrespective of their political or religious affiliations, color, or race. If you happen to be in places wherein our medical missions are being conducted, you are free to come by and we will accommodate you.”)

Gratitude from Marikina LGU

The Local Government Unit of Marikina City, led by Mayor Marcy Teodoro and Congresswoman Majorie Ann Teodoro, extended their sincere gratitude to MCGI and Brother Daniel Razon. They said that the MCGI Clinic serves as a blessing not only for Marikina residents but also to visitors seeking medical service.

(“Overwhelming, it is a blessing not just for Marikina. I have seen how many people are being helped, not only by Clinic ni Kuya but also by the MCGI Transient Home and Clinic here in Marikina.”)

(“We are very thankful, especially to MCGI and Kuya Daniel, for this wonderful initiative benefitting the people of Marikina. We could really see your sincere desire to be of help to our fellowmen, without discriminating anyone.”)

She also highlighted the significance of the bloodletting drive conducted by the MCGI Clinic, acknowledging its importance amidst the scarcity of blood donations caused by the pandemic, “Nakita ko rin may bloodletting din kayo. Isa yan sa mga naputol nong mag-pandemic kaya nagkaroong scarcity pagdating sa blood donors. Kaya malaking malaking bagay po na makakuha tayo ng maraming blood donors. Maraming maraming salamat po.”

(“I also noticed that you also conduct bloodletting. That’s one of the activities that was stopped during the pandemic, resulting in scarcity of blood donors. So, it’s a very significant thing to have many blood donors. Thank you very much.”)

The opening day of the MCGI Clinic had already yielded results as it served more than 700 beneficiaries, not only from Marikina City but also from nearby cities.

If you wish to avail the services offered by the MCGI Clinic, it is located at 141 E. Rodriguez Ave., Marikina City. The clinic operates every Friday, starting on December 8, 2023, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

UNTV Cup Extends Public Service Reach as it Enters Its 10th Year

A decade of charity and public service through a basketball league has been marked with the recent opening of the UNTV Cup’s 10th season. The season kicked off at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 30, 2023, unveiling the Philippines’ one-of-a-kind league that harnesses public servants’ competitive spirit for the greater good.

Conceptualized and pioneered in 2013 by Brother Daniel Razon, BMPI CEO and President, UNTV Cup carries his vision of innovating sports for societal upliftment. As the Overall Servant of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), Brother Daniel also leads the Church in various charities and outreach missions under MCGI Cares.

According to Brother Daniel, “The UNTV Cup has become more than just a basketball league in the Philippines. It fosters camaraderie through sports while delivering help to the marginalized.”

In his opening speech, he reiterated the league’s commitment to serve others, especially those in need.

Ang layunin po ng liga na ito ay magpapatuloy na makaabot sa ating mga kapwa-tao.

(This league’s objective will continue to reach out to others),” he stressed.

To date, the league has given more than ₱50 million in cash prizes. A huge fraction of the prizes will go to the selected charities of each participating team.

Commitment to Expand the League

Brother Daniel looks forward to the UNTV Cup family to grow, both in terms of the number of participating teams and the sport.

“And we are looking forward na ito ay mapalawak, hindi lamang po sa iisang larangan ng sports kundi sa iba’t-ibang kaparaanan para naman po ito’y maging daan para sa pagtulong pa rin sa ating kapwa-tao.”

(And we are looking forward to expanding this league, not only in a particular sport but also to various methods so that it will pave the way to help more people.),“

True enough, Brother Daniel has successfully tapped another sport for the sake of charity. On August 20, 2023, he launched the UNTV Volleyball League exclusively for female public servants. In its 2-month stretch, the 6-team league culminated by doling out a total of at least P1 million to various chosen charities of the champion, second-placer, and third-placer. Teams who were not able to enter the top three spots have also given consolation prizes to their chosen beneficiaries.

Off-Season Games

Besides the regular season, the UNTV Cup organizers also hold off-season charity events.

Ang mga benepisyaryo po na inyong tinutulungan at hindi lamang po itong ating regular games sapagkat we have extended this to our Executive Games ng UNTV Cup.”

(The beneficiaries are not confined to our regular games. We have extended this to UNTV Cup Executive Games.),” he added.

The UNTV Cup has held five off-season tournaments: Clash of the Three (2014), Executive Face-Off (2017), Executive Face-Off (2018), PBA Legends Face-Off (2019), and Executive Face-Off (2023).

Just like in the league’s previous opening ceremonies, the participating government agencies also offered public service before the event proper. PAGIBIG Fund, the National Housing Authority, and the Department of Foreign Affairs were among those who opened help desks for the public.

Striving for More Charitable Impact

In capping off his opening speech, Brother Daniel emphasized his commitment to reach out to others.

Naniniwala po ako na sa tulong ng Panginoon ay mananatiling isang paraan ang liga na ito upang makatulong sa ating mga kapwa-tao.” (With the Lord’s help, I believe this league will remain a way to help our fellowmen),” Brother Daniel said.

I believe that this objective will remain at ang pagtulong sa ating mga kapwa-tao ay mananatili sa puso ng bawat isa na nagkaroon ng puwang sa kanila ang paggawa ng kabutihan sa mga nangangailangan. (I believe that this objective will remain and helping others will remain in the hearts of everyone who gives way to do goodness to those in need).

More Teams, Bigger Prizes

This year, the UNTV Cup welcomed two additional government agencies to its list — the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA Emissaries) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC Vanguards).

For this season, 14 government agencies are vying for the title this season:

  • Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP Cavaliers)
  • Commission on Elections (COMELEC Vanguards)
  • Department of Agriculture (Agriculture Food Masters)
  • Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR Warriors)
  • Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA Emissaries)
  • Department of Justice (DOJ Hunters/Avengers/Justice Boosters/Beacons)
  • Government Service Insurance System (GSIS Furies)
  • National Housing Authority (NHA Builders/Home Masters)

  • Philippine National Police (PNP Hinirangs/Responders)
  • Senate of the Philippines (Senate Defenders)
  • Social Security System (SSS Kabalikat)

UNTV Cup organizers, led by Commissioner Fortunato “Atoy” Co, announced the league will award a total of P10 million for this season. The champion will take home ₱3 million. The runner-up will receive P2 million, and the third placer will get P1 million.

Teams who fall short of reaching the top three will also get consolation prizes. The 4th placer will receive P500,000; those from 5th to 10th place get P200,000 while teams from 11th to 14th place bag P100,000.

UNTV Cup Title Holders

The league was inaugurated on July 29, 2013, which marked the UNTV News and Rescue’s 9th Anniversary. Starting from seven teams, the number of government agencies has grown over 10 years.

Within its 10-year history, UNTV Cup already has produced two “dynasties.” The AFP Cavaliers won the most championships with three, in 2014, 2016, and 2019. They are followed by two-time champions Judiciary Magis, in 2013 and 2015.

Other title holders are PNP Responders (2017), Senate Defenders (2018), and DENR Warriors (2020).

MCGI’s Vision in Action: Revolutionizing Healthcare Charity Through Mobile Dental and Optical Clinics

The Members Church of God International’s (MCGI) mobile clinics are rolling across the Philippines bringing free healthcare and hope. Inspired by MCGI Overall Servant Brother Daniel Razon’s vision to reach more brethren and fellowmen, what started as a lone mobile clinic in February 2023 has added two more mobile clinics traversing the nation.

In the span of six months to October this year, these state-of-the-art mobile clinics have already impacted over 57,000 patients across 44 provinces in the Philippines, providing complete dental, optical, and medical services absolutely free of charge.

From Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao, dental patients served by these mobile clinics reached 18,424 while 38,567 patients availed the MCGI’s optical services.

Inside the MCGI Mobile Dental and Optical Clinic

Stepping into any of the three MCGI Mobile Dental and Optical Clinics is like walking into a venue where innovation, compassion, and commitment to service meet. While it may seem like a mere vehicle on the outside, the inside reveals an advanced facility for dentists and optometrists.

The MCGI Mobile Dental and Optical Clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and tools such as Dental Chairs, Sterilization Units, Advanced Lighting Systems, Comprehensive and Dental Kits. As for optical equipment, the mobile clinics have optical trial frames and lenses, Snellen Chart and other basic optical tools.

Using these tools the dentists onboard can provide the following services: basic dental check-ups, tooth extractions, dental cleanings, dental implant surgery, and dental health education.

Meanwhile, on-the-road optometrists provide eye check-ups, prescription eyeglasses, and eye health education outside the mobile clinics.

The Need for Dental and Optical Services in the Philippines

Many underserved communities face multiple challenges that prevent them from accessing regular dental and eye care. They may lack financial capacity, health insurance, or transportation options to reach traditional clinics. This can cause minor issues to worsen into more serious health problems.

To address these challenges, Brother Daniel spearheaded the launch of the MCGI Cares programs, which includes providing various forms of innovative healthcare services, especially to the financially challenged sector in urban and remote areas. Currently, MCGI deploys three Mobile Dental and Optical Clinics to serve people in the Philippines.

During his speech at the launching event on December 2022, Brother Daniel highlighted the reason why MCGI is zealous in providing top-notch healthcare services to the community for free.

“In humble ways, through the MCGI, may the Lord’s kindness and care reach you. We want everything that’s best for you,”  he said.

By eliminating transportation barriers and cost obstacles, these mobile clinics enable vulnerable populations to receive the oral and optical healthcare they desperately need but struggle to obtain through traditional facilities.

MCGI Brand of Service

Going beyond just procedures, MCGI’s mobile clinics provide complete care aligned with the MCGI Overall Servant’s instructions to heart. Patients not only receive dental and optical services, but also leave with the correct medicines and supplies they need, free of charge.

“We, the Members of Church of God International, would like to provide service to you, ” Brother Daniel said.

With fully-equipped mobile units and a team of dedicated professionals, MCGI is not only bridging healthcare gaps but also sending a clear message: everyone deserves to see the world clearly and smile brightly.

Through this initiative, MCGI continues to shine by carrying out one dental check-up and eye exam at a time.

Serbisyong Kapatiran Ang Pagsasanay (SKAP): An Innovative Approach to Biblical Learning

The Members Church of God International (MCGI) has unveiled a brilliant, groundbreaking quiz show that will ignite the fervor for Bible knowledge. With the visionary concept of Brother Daniel Razon, Overall Servant of MCGI, the show takes biblical learning to the next level and promises to transform the way you explore the scripture, making it an exhilarating journey that transcends age barriers.

Co-hosted by Sister Arlene Razon, SKAP first debuted in the Philippines on September 4, 2023. Since then, it has become a weekly highlight of the Serbisyong Kapatiran (Brotherly Service) program, airing every Monday at 9:30 p.m. PHT exclusively on MCGI’s livestream channels and private social media accounts.

Brother Daniel explained that the Tagalog word “Pagsasanay” in SKAP means “exercise” in English. He said, SKAP is grounded in I Timothy 4:7’s call to “exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”

“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”

— 1 Timothy 4:7-8, King James Version

In his own words, he said, “Mga kapatid, hindi ito bangayan. Ito pong ating ginagawa na ito ay bilang pagsasanay natin at kagaya nga niyan, we will be reminded ng iba’t ibang mga bagay na atin po namang dapat na matandaan kasama na ’yong mga aral, mga katuwiran, ’yong mga awitin, ’yong mga napag-uusapan, at atin pong mga napag-aaralan sa atin pong mga pagkakatipon.”

(My dear brethren, this is not a rivalry. What we are doing here is a form of mental exercise. From this, we will be reminded of various important aspects, including the lessons, the principles, the songs, the discussions, and the knowledge we gained from our gatherings.)

Members from MCGI locales worldwide can participate in SKAP. The quiz show consists of rounds such as “Name That Tune,” “Sing It,” “What’s the Verse,” “Complete the Verse,” and “Verse Quiz.” These rounds challenge contestants with tasks such as recognizing hymns and songs, accurately completing verses, and identifying Bible passages in diverse and captivating ways.

Each round begins with the hosts presenting questions, igniting a thrilling race as teams scramble to press their buzzers and offer answers. Notably, points are awarded differently for each round, adding an extra layer of excitement and strategy to the quiz show.

After completing all rounds, the team with the highest score earns prizes for themselves and their chosen beneficiary. The runners-up also receive consolation gifts, ensuring a rewarding experience for all.

By leveraging technology to foster biblical literacy, SKAP exemplifies MCGI’s commitment to immersive, uplifting faith experiences under the guidance of Brother Daniel. Inspired by the Book of Daniel 12:4’s prophecy of knowledge increasing, the Overall Servant tirelessly pioneers new media to make God’s words accessible.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

— Daniel 12:4, King James Version

Through diverse programs and initiatives, such as Bible Studies, Bible Expositions, and Mass Indoctrination sessions, MCGI equips people with the knowledge and insights to live by God’s will and attain salvation. From digital Bibles to social media outreach, Brother Daniel’s commitment through SKAP extends MCGI’s mission, making the Bible engaging for all ages.

SKAP has now expanded worldwide, with local editions recently kicking off its international edition in Singapore. Prepare to be captivated and get ready for a thrilling transformation in biblical education. This is not just a Bible study; it’s a high-octane experience that will leave you breathless with excitement.

MCGI Draws Thousands of Blood Donors, Honored by Partner Government Hospital

The Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBL) in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, has honored the Members Church of God International (MCGI) for its lifesaving contributions through its successful mass bloodletting initiatives. Led by MCGI’s Overall Servant Brother Daniel Razon, MCGI has been a long-time partner of JBL, which was recently named the best national government hospital in Central Luzon.

On October 6, MCGI organized a simultaneous mass bloodletting event that attracted thousands of volunteer blood donors nationwide and in some parts of the world. The event yielded a total of 1,775 blood units, of which more than 600 were collected and donated to JBL at the MCGI headquarters in Apalit, Pampanga.

Dr. Gil Bryan B. Galvan, the head of JBL Blood Bank, recognized the good works of MCGI for its consistent quarterly donation of blood. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Church and its volunteers for their generosity and compassion.

The event was part of the Church’s advocacy to save lives and help those in need of blood transfusions. MCGI believes that donating blood is a noble act of charity that reflects the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who shed his blood for the redemption of mankind.

From January to September 2023, MCGI’s multiple blood drives worldwide have produced a total of 12,118 blood units, making it one of the largest and most active blood donors in the country. The Church aims to continue this noble endeavor as part of its Christian duty and social responsibility.

For more than a decade, congregants of MCGI have generously donated lifesaving blood, which is part of its teachings on helping save the lives of those in need of blood. For eight consecutive years up to 2020, the Philippine Blood Center (PBC) and the Department of Health recognized MCGI for consistently contributing 2,000 units of blood or more every year, bestowing the organization with the highest distinction, the Gawad Jose Rizal Award.

As one of the biggest blood donors in the country, MCGI has surpassed other organizations in terms of volume and frequency of donations. In 2019 alone, MCGI donated 5,801 bags of blood to the Philippine Blood Center and its beneficiaries, making it the top blood donor for that year. The DOH reported that MCGI’s blood donation drive has helped save thousands of lives and improve the country’s blood supply.

MCGI’s blood donation drive is part of its advocacy to do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith, as written in Galatians 6:10. The Church believes that donating blood is a noble act of charity that reflects the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who shed his blood for the redemption of mankind.”

Compassion in Action: MCGI’s quarterly Feast Dedicated to God: Brethren Day continues to be a helping hand

With great excitement, Members Church of God International (MCGI) is eagerly preparing for another Feast Dedicated to God (Fiesta ng Dios) on October 5, 2023, as part of the Brethren Day celebration. The event starts at 8 in the morning at the MCGI Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga, kicking off with a colorful parade that sets the mood for a day filled with joy and inspiration.

“We are here to be of service, and if there’s anything we can do, we are committed to extending a helping hand to our fellowmen in every way possible… MCGI advocates doing good to everyone.”

— Bro. Daniel Razon, Servant of MCGI

The quarterly event continues to serve as a platform for compassion and care for the vulnerable sector of our society. The different programs and services offered during the event is just a manifestation of MCGI’s commitment to be of help to our fellowmen regardless of their creed, race, and social status.

One of the event’s notable highlights is a wish-granting program, wherein carefully chosen participants experience how their simple wishes are given fulfillment. These wishes often range from livelihood packages to vital medical aids.

Among the other public services that attendees can avail include free medical checkups with free medicines and supplements, dental and optical services, free meals, goods from the MCGI Free Store, and many more.

These services will, likewise, be replicated in some participating MCGI chapters.  They will also provide the same services to beneficiaries in their respective places, ensuring the widespread impact of this noble endeavor.

With the biblical passage written in Luke 14:13-14 as its core inspiration, this celebration is dedicated to serving and uplifting the disabled and the needy.

But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

— Luke 14:13-14, King James Version

The day after the MCGI Feast Dedicated to God: Brethren Day, MCGI holds the 3rd Quarter Thanksgiving of God’s People, a three-day international event where brethren congregate together to praise and honor the Lord for His enduring love and mercy over the past three months.

Everyone is cordially invited to join both events. Should you have any inquiries regarding these events or wish to learn more about attendance options, please don’t hesitate to contact us via Messenger.

To God be the glory!

MCGI caps off the 1st Quarter of 2023 with International Thanksgiving

Members Church God International (MCGI) is set to celebrate its 1st Quarter Special Thanksgiving of God’s People on March 24–26, 2023. One of the things that MCGI is thankful for is the dawning of a new year in the Hebrew calendar, which commences on the sunset of March 22, 2023.

As a congregation that has been taught of the importance of good works and gratefulness to the Lord, MCGI brethren from around the world are all enthusiastically preparing themselves for the upcoming special event.

A number of MCGI Coordinating Centers, local chapters, including the MCGI Chapel in the MCGI Convention Center, are open for in-person gatherings. However, the event will still be available via live streaming and video conferencing platforms for all of those who could not be accommodated in the aforementioned venues.

With the Almighty at the center of the Church’s works, the congregation never lacks reasons to give back to Him with thanksgiving. The three-day event will again highlight His wonderful wisdom; it will also be filled with praise songs from joyful voices and grateful hearts of the brethren.

“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.”

Psalms 95:2, King James Version

Another Year to Reckon

MCGI will welcome the 1st of Nisan 5783 on the sunset of March 22, 2023, corresponding to the first day of a new year in the Hebrew calendar which the early Christians followed. The event will be held at sundown because, biblically speaking, sunset marks the beginning of a new day.

The day before leaving Egypt, the Lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron.  He told them that such a day would mark the beginning of a new year unto them. As written in Exodus 12:1-2,

¹ And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,

² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

The celebration is a modest gathering with fervent prayers and thanksgiving to the Lord for His guidance throughout the past year, and supplication for His continuous protection and blessings. As what has been consistently done, this event is primarily intended to give thanks to God.

Continuous service to God and humanity

On March 4 of the previous year, the MCGI Cares program was launched to help our fellowmen, both materially and spiritually. Hence, this year marks its first anniversary.

The program highlights biblical teachings which can be applied in our daily lives, like showing love and kindness, even in the simplest and smallest ways, to our fellowmen.

With God’s help and mercy, MCGI Cares will continue to offer the services it started giving to our fellowmen in need and proclaim the honor of God through acts of love and kindness which could encourage and inspire others to do the same.

Mobile love and care

On February 6, 2023, the MCGI Mobile Dental and Optical Clinic was launched to serve our fellowmen who are financially challenged such that they do not have the means to address their dental and optical needs. The services offered by these mobile clinics are free. Although this effort is initiated by MCGI, the mobile clinic is open to everyone regardless of religion. This is still part of the charitable endeavors of the Church.

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

Galatians 6:10, King James Version

At present, there are two mobile dental and optical clinics that are already roaming in different areas of Luzon, administering free dental and optical services. In due time, another mobile clinic is expected to roll.

MCGI’s Special Thanksgiving of God’s People is a quarterly event wherein brethren from all over the world gather together as a nation to glorify the Almighty with songs of praise, discussions of special biblical topics, and brethren checking upon each other in love. The special event invariably serves as a reminder to MCGI brethren to always be thankful and to continue doing good works for the glory of the Lord.

We are inviting everyone to join us in offering thanksgiving to the Lord.  Let us experience together the spiritual enjoyment and witness the amazing biblical discussion to be served by MCGI Servant Brother Daniel Razon. Mark your calendars on March 22 as we welcome the Christian New Year and on March 2426 for the three-day Special Thanksgiving of God’s People.

We are excited to see you on those days.  For your inquiries concerning these events, including the ways to attend, feel free to reach out on Messenger

Excitement overflows in the days leading to the much-awaited 4th Quarter Special Thanksgiving of God’s People of the Members Church of God International (MCGI). Members from around the world are already preparing for this joyous celebration that will be held on December 23, 24 and 25, 2022 at 5 p.m. Philippine Time.

This quarter’s International Thanksgiving will be held through in-person gatherings and virtual conferencing. While in-person gatherings are now allowed, attendees are still expected to follow minimum health protocols set by health authorities and the government for the safety of everyone.

The three-day event is expected to be filled with the singing of songs of praise, studying of God’s amazing wisdom and brethren checking on one another. The MCGI Music Ministry is already preparing for their opening numbers along with all the brethren who are likewise practicing their thanksgiving songs.

Another quarter has gone by very swiftly and the year 2022 is coming to a close already, MCGI brethren are collectively beyond thankful to the Almighty for all the blessings He had bestowed upon them, including everything in between.

Another blessed quarter

The days leading to this quarter’s International Thanksgiving have been very fruitful — with the MCGI Cares charitable endeavors of the Church continuing to be a helping hand to a lot of people in need all over the world. The unwavering support of the MCGI brethren who were taught to do good works unto all has been an integral part of this effort.

Moreover, newly launched online channels of the MCGI Cares are now up and running to inspire people with good works and share faith, hope and love over the web.

Furthermore, MCGI continues its online propagation through the broadcast of Bible Exposition and Bible Study in various languages as well as the regular Mass Indoctrination sessions wherein the doctrines of Christ are being taught.

With the help and mercy of God, thousands of souls around the world received baptism this quarter from the evangelization efforts of MCGI.

Continuing in love

This quarter saw many of MCGI’s Coordinating Centers and locales in the Philippines and abroad open again for in-person gatherings. Though majority of the brethren still gather via online means, most of them are too excited to see one another face-to-face again after a long while.

MCGI Servant Brother Daniel Razon also personally checks in on old brethren and visits locale events such as Santiago 1:27 and Fiesta ng Dios. These celebrations are derived from the Holy Scriptures in James 1:27 and Luke 14:13-14.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

James 1:27, King James Version

“But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.”

Luke 14:13-14, King James Version
