Continuing a Legacy of Giving: MCGI Free Store Expands to Bagac, Bataan

On January 25, 2026, the MCGI Free Store officially opened its doors in Bagac, Bataan. This launch marks a significant expansion of an initiative that began well before the pandemic. The MCGI Free Store was first introduced during the Feast Dedicated to God in 2019, later serving as a cornerstone of The Old Path’s 39th Anniversary Celebration. By March 14, 2021, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Church opened these stores to the general public to provide critical relief. Today, that same spirit of service continues, with the Bagac branch strictly observing health protocols to ensure the safety of all beneficiaries.

For many, like Haidee Gumarro, the store is an answer to prayer. A widow providing for her family through daily labor, Haidee shared that this was her first time “grocery shopping” in such a unique way.

“Hindi po kami naghahangad ng masarap na ulam, basta po ang importante, bigas, kahit po anong ulam lang po. Okay na po sa amin,” Haidee shared. (We don’t wish for fancy meals; what’s important is the rice. Whatever the viand is, it’s enough for us.)

This profound relief reflects the heart of the Free Store: a place where compassion meets basic needs. Beyond material aid, Brother Daniel emphasized that this endeavor is an offering dedicated to the glory of God—a manifestation of a Provider who cares and offers hope.

Guided by the principle to “get only what is needed,” the facility stands as a testament to the unity of faith and good works. Through God’s mercy, MCGI continues to expand this mission, serving as humble instruments of the Lord’s love.

To God be all the honor and glory forevermore!
