A tribute to Brother Daniel Razon’s 42nd Sabbath Day — a journey marked by compassion, dedication, and unwavering faith.
Each project stands as a reflection of true Christian charity — “Let all your things be done with charity.” (1 Corinthians 16:14)
Drawing on his decades of experience in the broadcast industry, Brother Daniel Razon fully dedicated this expertise to proclaiming the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ as the MCGI Overall Servant.
Brother Daniel, also respectfully and affectionally called as Kuya Daniel (“kuya” is the direct translation of “older brother” in Filipino), whose desire is to serve and share God’s words with the brethren and as many people as possible fueled the widespread use of digital platforms to broadcast the Gospel through livestreaming.
With God’s help, Kuya Daniel uses modern technology to look after the flock. His innovative ideas, put into action, showcase his dedication, exemplified by exclusive MCGI brethren-program like Serbisyong Kapatiran (Brotherly Service). This program, streamed on MCGI.TV, MCGI Online Community Facebook Group, and other platforms allows the brethren to gather and look after one another almost daily.
Through Serbisyong Kapatiran’s segments—including Story of My Faith, Harana sa Kapatiran, Topic Trivia, and Serbisyong Kapatiran: Ang Pagsasanay—the brethren are able to fulfill God’s will written in Hebrews 10:25:
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
This commitment helps them uphold the commandment in John 13:34-35:
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Instilling faith and hope, inspiring love: Every composition by Kuya Daniel Razon carries profound teachings of compassion, faith, humility, gratitude, and perseverance, guiding listeners to strengthen their faith and deepen their trust in the Lord.
Through his music, Kuya Daniel not only uplifts weary spirits but also reminds every listener of the power of hope, the importance of love, and the promise of God’s guidance in every circumstance.
Apart from creating meaningful songs, the Overall Servant of MCGI also established church programs, such as MCGI Music School, to educate brethren who have a passion for singing and playing musical instruments, helping them nurture their talents and use them in service to God.
Guided by the leadership of Kuya Daniel Razon, MCGI continues to build strong partnerships with local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines and around the world.
These collaborations open doors to greater community service—extending immediate help where it’s needed, supporting local initiatives, and uplifting lives through shared compassion and purpose.
Each partnership reflects MCGI’s steadfast commitment to service, unity, and meaningful collaboration. By working hand-in-hand with LGUs both locally and internationally, MCGI continues to reach more communities, inspire collective action, and strengthen its mission of spreading kindness and hope across the globe.
Kuya Daniel Razon’s Free Education Program, offered through the Apalit and Caloocan City campuses of La Verdad Christian School, opens doors for deserving students to experience high-quality learning without the burden of financial concerns. This humanitarian initiative, strives to nurture not only the minds of young learners but also their hearts.
Beyond textbooks and classrooms, La Verdad scholars are taught to practice kindness, uphold integrity, and contribute goodness to their communities—reflecting the Christian way of life they learn from the Scriptures.
Through this initiative, many young people are given the opportunity to build a future strengthened by knowledge, guided by sound teaching, and anchored in virtues that lead to a life of meaningful service to God and fellow human beings.
Kuya Daniel Razon’s livelihood initiatives extend hope, opportunity, and compassion to everyone, especially MCGI brethren.
With God’s help and mercy, he conceptualizes and initiates programs that uplift the needy, empowering individuals with new skills, and opening doors for sustainable living. His work demonstrate that compassionate service manifests faith through action—an ongoing effort pursued alongside the faithful brethren, and made possible by the mercy and help of God.
Under Kuya Daniel’s leadership, vital resources regularly reach vulnerable groups: solo parents, senior citizens, and individuals displaced by calamity, among many other. His example reminds us that even the simplest act of kindness can spark change, touch hearts, and make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
Kuya Daniel Razon sets a powerful example of selfless service, inspiring brethren to extend help and compassion to others. These initiatives go beyond meeting immediate needs—they reflect a heart committed to caring for people regardless of their faith, status, or background.
As MCGI Overall Servant, Kuya Daniel teaches the biblical importance of helping others, focusing not just on providing services, but on touching hearts and nurturing hope.
By making professional care accessible to those who may not have the means, he reminds everyone that acts of kindness—big or small—can have a lasting impact, building a culture of compassion, understanding, and service rooted in faith.
Brothers and sisters of Members Church of God International (MCGI) regularly conduct coordinated and simultaneous efforts to feed those who are less fortunate. This commitment stems from nurturing the compassion needed to care for others, a virtue the brethren have embraced through Kuya Daniel Razon’s constant reminders.
The Overall Servant’s guidance emphasizes looking after not only those considered brethren in faith, but also all people, seizing every opportunity to serve.
While nourishing the souls of men through the Holy Scriptures and the words of God is paramount, doing good works, such as feeding the poor, is equally expected of those who have the means to do so.
This comprehensive approach to charity is rooted in the Lord’s commandment:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:34-35
Regardless of age, it is important for everyone to enjoy the benefits of a healthy mind and body—both in the literal and spiritual sense, with a particular emphasis on the latter. The Members Church of God International (MCGI), guided by Kuya Daniel Razon, celebrates the importance of overall health and well-being through various activities.
To enliven the body and uplift the spirit, events such as the MCGI Family Day, Couples Night, and Senior Citizens’ Day are held. The family is, after all, a spiritual institution; what bond is greater than one strengthened spiritually as a family? Though our elders may sometimes feel left out due to their age or its accompanying limitations, it is important to show them appreciation, as the Holy Bible teaches.
This teaching is anchored in Ephesians 6:2-4:
“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
The demonstration of care is comprehensive: To complement the spiritual nourishment, the celebration culminates with substantial free offerings provided throughout the day. These services—including medical, dental, and optical assistance, legal services, government services, and delicious food—ensure that the physical well-being of the brethren is addressed.
We know that we have no power to save our own lives, let alone the lives of others. Yet, Kuya Daniel Razon encourages us to be God’s humble instruments in protecting the well-being of others, just as the Holy Bible instructs. We freely offer our very lifeblood to help sustain the lives of our fellow men—either by donating a portion of our time (which is part of our life) or by literally donating our blood. To a brother or sister who has truly felt the love of God, such sacrifices are done without reservation.
Acting in the spirit of the Good Samaritan described in the Holy Bible, volunteers from MCGI and UNTV reach out to those facing misfortune. This sincere demonstration of care in a world that often seems indifferent is the core advocacy behind UNTV News and Rescue, guided by Kuya Daniel Razon.
From responding to road accidents to aiding victims of natural calamities, MCGI brethren and UNTV personnel are equipped with the right mindset to face any difficult or dark occurrences that may arise and supported with the proper gear.
Relying on God’s help and guidance, their assistance is universal: They provide blood donations, relief packs, and, above all, prayers to anyone in need. They serve not only in the Philippines, where most of the MCGI brethren are based, but also in other parts of the world, including Rio Grande do Sul, Dubai, and Canada.
Kuya Daniel looks after the brethren at all times, always ready to be of service to the flock through God’s help. Whenever he has the opportunity to visit them personally and assess their situation, he promptly goes, which brings great joy not just to the brethren he visits, but more so to him.
Brother Daniel willingly serves as an instrument to bring the joy of meeting and Thanksgiving, solace in times of affliction, and encouragement derived from the words of God in the Bible, ever ready for good works.
This commitment reflects the biblical instruction:
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)”
And the divine goal:
“That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (II Timothy 3:17, KJV)”
