As a devout Catholic, Sister Emy Alejandro regularly attended Mass. Yet, feeling a spiritual void, she often found herself searching for deeper meaning by listening to the doctrines of various other religions.

Her search reached a turning point one fateful night in 1997. Her husband came home and turned on the television, introducing her for the first time to the passionate preaching of Brother Eli Soriano.

Initially, Sister Emy misjudged Brother Eli, finding his bold delivery style somewhat arrogant. However, her husband—though not a member of the Church himself—was thoroughly convinced that Brother Eli was a true man of God who profoundly understood the Scriptures. Intrigued by her husband’s strong conviction, Sister Emy’s curiosity was piqued, and she began to listen more closely.

Before long, the confusion that had clouded her understanding vanished. Captivated by the biblical truths being uncovered, she finally found clear, undeniable answers to her lifelong questions about faith and God. Soon after, she attended the indoctrination sessions and was baptized.

However, walking this new path brought severe hardships that tested her faith to the limit. Ironically, her husband—the very man who had admired Brother Eli—turned against her, fiercely persecuting her for joining the Members Church of God International (MCGI). Compounding her emotional pain, her husband was unfaithful to her, and shortly after, her business suffered a devastating financial setback.
