Newly Baptized Testimonials: February 5, 2016

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on February 5, 2016 at the Ang Dating Daan Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Sis. Zenaida Dela Rosa, 70, Former Catholic, California

On Joining the Church of God

I saw the truth here in the Church of God, which is why all my children are already members here. I have four children; their spouses are members as well.

My husband is in Pampanga. He also wants to join but he’s busy preparing for us to go home in California.

We just actually went here on vacation. I was just going to accompany my husband in doing something. Then, [we got indoctrinated] and I told him that I would get baptized already [Laughs], because he told me that we should go together. Only, he wasn’t able to since he needed to go to Palawan.

We’ve been listening to Bro. Eli on radio. In 1993 however, I went abroad so I wasn’t with my children anymore. So I only got to join now.

On Being Baptized

The teachings are really good. It’s the truth: what Bro. Eli Soriano preaches. What the Bible says is good, and that’s what we must believe.

On Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon

I thank Bro. Eli for the words that he speaks and preaches to people. Many thanks to God because now I am a member here.

Sis. Annalou Briones, 20, Former Catholic, Bulacan Province

On Joining the Church of God

Their teachings are good. I was able to attend a Bible Study session as my employer is a member here. He would bring me to Church services.

The teachings are good and you’ll learn a lot.

On Being Baptized

I feel light. My body feels light. I really feel good.

On Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon

I thank them because we learn things. Thanks be to God. What they preach is good and you will learn from it.

Sis. Roltina Maniego, 32, Former Catholic, Manila

On Joining the Church of God

I know that I already had a lot of sins, and that became my reason to join, that my heart may be cleansed and be closer to Him.

I learned about this through my parents. The doctrines are really from the Bible. Bro. Eli says what is in the Bible, which is what we really should obey because it is what God really wants.

Whenever mama watched [The Old Path], I would watch also. But it was only this year that I really got to listen intently. I had a few problems before and it was only Him that I depended upon.

On Being Baptized

I cried.

On Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon

I hope that they will continue their preaching of the word of God and in helping our fellowmen.

Sis. Gelaiza Soriano, 17, Former Catholic, Baguio Province

On Joining the Church of God

To be able to hear the teachings of Bro. Eli as I learn from them. My grandfather would bring me to the Locale of Baguio.

I learned a lot of things that we shouldn’t do, especially in women’s clothing. I learned the prohibitions that other religions are not saying.

On Being Baptized

I felt light.

On Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon

Bro. Eli, Bro. Daniel, many, many thanks for the teachings you teach us.

Sis. Araceli Velchez, 54, Former Catholic, Bicol Province

On Joining the Church of God

I liked the preaching of Bro. Eli when I was able to watch him on television. Also, his explanations about the Lord. I was formerly a Catholic, but it was Bro. Eli’s teachings that I liked.

Someone lead me here. I said to him, “Just let me listen and listen.” So now, I liked it already.

He’s Bro. Tirso Velchez, and he’s been a member here for some years now. He’s with me today.

I have liked Bro. Eli since way back then. I didn’t mention anything to him before because I felt I wasn’t ready yet.

But now I feel that I’m ready so I told him, “Kuya (big brother) Tirzo, I’m ready to be baptized.”

On Being Baptized

I felt light, as if I am with the Lord. Also, the heaviness I had because of my illness was gone. I have cancer, and I was actually surprised because I felt light. So I really liked it.

I have breast cancer and it will take six chemotherapy sessions in Jose Reyes Medical Center said the doctor.

I have only undergone treatment three times as I already lack money. Bro. Tirso [her friend] said, “Let the Lord take care of it.”

On Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon

Bro. Eli, Bro. Daniel, many, many thanks for your explanations. I really liked your teachings about God. That’s all.

To God be the glory
