INQUIRER: My question is - Why are there so many people who, despite of applying for so many jobs, are impoverished?

Bro. Eli F. Soriano (EFS): You know, there are people who have no recognition of God, so it is useless even though they earn. In Haggai 1:6 -

EFS: See that? They earn, they sow, but they earn to put it in a bag with holes. Meaning, nothing is left. Nothing is left, whatever he does. What did God say? Let us continue in Haggai 1:7 -

DSR: "Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways."

EFS: The first thing that man should think is to consider your ways. Is your way righteous to God? Do you have God in your life? Do you have the spirit of God with you? If not, your effort is useless. Bur if you have God with you, according to Psalms 1:2-3 -

DSR: "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

EFS: See that? You shall prosper if you have God in your life. If you meditate in His law, your delight is His righteousness, God has a big part in your heart, you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. You shall not wither, you shall bring forth fruit in season and whatsoever you do shall prosper. That's what the Bible says. The answer to your question - why are there people who earn but their earning is useless, perhaps, they have no God with them, sister.
