INQUIRER: What are your bases that you are the truth and the right one to join, and not other sects or religions?
Bro. Eli F. Soriano (EFS): There is only one basis. The basis is in John 7:17. Kindly read -
Sis. Luz Cruz (LC): "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."
EFS: What shall be known if you want to do the will of God?
LC: You shall know of the doctrine. "...whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."
EFS: Why? What do preachers who speak of themselves do?
LC: "He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him." [John 7:18]
EFS: Which is true, Sis. Luz? The one who speaks not of himself. Right?
LC: Yes.
EFS: So, you will know if a religion is true. You, yourself, shall know whether we are true or not. Where? In the doctrines. The doctrine should come from God, not from one's self. You see that my answer is in the Bible. I did not give any answer that came from the newspaper, or from wrappers, nor did I teach fabrications to my brethren. We have no limbo nor purgatory - because it is not in the Bible. The one who speaks in his own way, seeks his own glory. But he who seeks the glory of God who sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Why? You shall know of the doctrine if one speaks from God or speaks of himself. Travel the whole world... You might only have travelled the Philippines, but travel the whole Philippines, and travel the whole world, if you have the chance to go abroad. Look for a congregation which always preaches what is in the Bible, that is only one. You shall know that through the doctrine. The doctrine did not come from us, but from God. That is my answer.
