INQUIRER: I am not yet your member but I have heard the word of God and I read the Bible. What is the next step after hearing and reading the Word of God?
EFS: Do you obey it?
INQUIRER: Yes.
EFS: Getting affiliated is included in what you will obey.
INQUIRER: Is that how it is?
EFS: In Romans 12:9 -
JM: "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good."
EFS: It is a commandment to get affiliated. That is a commandment.
INQUIRER: From the time I started watching your program, I stopped smoking and drinking. But then I got thinner. I am wondering...
EFS: That is right, it is good, you are not yet a member, you already follow the doctrine you hear. But you must fully obey - all the doctrines, all the commandments. In Matthew 28:20 -
JM: "Teaching them to observe..."
EFS: Fulfill, follow, accomplish, obey. What?
JM: "...all things whatsoever I have commanded you:"
EFS: So, you see, you cannot avoid it. Right? All the things of the commandments must be followed. Cleaving to the good is included in the commandment. You saw it is good, then, cleave to it. That is included in the commandment.
